Cancellation Policy
## The Midnight Mane Cancellation Policy
I completely understand that life happens, plans change, kids get sick, cars betray us, and sometimes the universe simply chooses violence. I’ve always tried to be as flexible as possible with cancellations and rescheduling, and I intend to keep doing that.
However, because The Midnight Mane is a small independent salon, last-minute cancellations and no-shows can create a significant loss, especially with color appointments where professional product may be purchased, prepared, or specifically reserved for your service.
### General Appointments
Please provide at least **24 hours’ notice** whenever possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Occasional emergencies happen, and I will always handle those situations with reasonable discretion.
### Color Services
Color appointments require significantly more time and product than standard services. If a color appointment is cancelled with less than **24 hours’ notice**, rescheduled repeatedly at the last minute, or missed without notice, you may be required to pay a **product replacement fee** before booking another color service.
This fee will reflect the professional color and product costs specifically associated with your scheduled appointment and will not exceed the actual product expense incurred.
### No-Shows
Clients who no-show an appointment may be required to pay a cancellation fee and/or product replacement costs before scheduling another appointment.
Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in future appointments requiring a deposit or prepayment.
My goal is never to punish anyone for having life happen. This policy simply allows me to protect the time, inventory, and costs involved in operating a small appointment-based salon while continuing to keep scheduling as flexible as possible.
